EGP index decreases against a basket of major currencies to 55.945 points on Tuesday

The Egyptian pound index decreased against the major currencies during Tuesday 24, January 2023. The index reached 55.945 points, compared to 55.981 points on Monday’s trading.
The Egyptian pound index decreased against 4 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.
It fell against the euro, US dollar, Japanese yen, and Chinese Yuan while it settled against Saudi riyal, the UAE dirham, and rose against the pound sterling
The average Pound Sterling selling rate in Egypt decreased from EGP 36.96 to EGP 36.83 at the end of Sunday trading, while the average buying rate declined from EGP 36.83 to EGP 36.70.
The average rate of the Euro in Egypt increased from EGP 32.51 to EGP 32.52, while the average buying price increased from EGP 32.40 to EGP 32.41.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt increased from EGP 22.94 to EGP23.98 while the buying price increased from EGP 22.86 to EGP 22.90
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt increased from EGP 4.40 to EGP 4.41, while the buying price remained stable at EGP4.39
The average rate of the US dollar increased against EGP to rise from EGP 29.90 to EGP 29.92 for selling and from EGP 29.80 to EGP 29.82 for buying at the end of today's trading.
The average rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt remained stable at EGP 7.96 for selling while it increased from EGP 7.93 to EGP 7.94 for buying.
The average selling rate of the UAE dirham remained stable at 8.14 for selling and EGP 8.11 for buying.
