QNB ALAHLI's Deposit portfolio jumps by 37.41% during 2022

QNB Al Ahli's deposit portfolio jumped from EGP296.24 bn by the end of 2021, to EGP 407.07 bn by the end of 2022, achieving a growth rate of 37.41%, and an increase  from EGP110.83 bn

Deposit portfolio was distributed among different currencies, in which the Egyptian pound owned the biggest share, as it acquired 81.22% of total deposits, recorded EGP330.6 bn by the end of 2022, compared to EGP258.27 bn by the end of 2021, growth rate of 28.01%, reached EGP 72.33 bn.

The bank’s deposits in US dollars jumped to EGP67.01 bn at the end of 2022, compared to EGP32.84 bn at the end of 2021, achieving a growth rate of 104.05%, and an increase of EGL34.17 bn, thus acquiring 16.46% of the bank’s total deposits.

 euro acquired 2.07% of the bank’s total deposits at the end of last year, after it rose by 86.56%, to reach EGP8.41 bn by the end of 2022, compared to EGP4.51 bn by the end of 2021. An increase of EGP 3.90 bn.

Pound sterling acquired 0.15% of the total deposits during 2022, despite its rise to EGP598.5 mn at the end of last year, compared to EGP 439.54 mn at the end of 2021. With a growth rate of 36.17%, and an increase of EGP 158.96 mn.

The bank's deposits in other foreign currencies increased to EGP 451.1 mn at the end of 2022, compared to EGP187.06 mn at the end of 2021, an increase of EGP264.05 mn,  0.11% of the bank’s total deposits at the end of last year.
