Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 27 December with Increase in the market cap by 0.5% to record EGP 393.883 bn compared to EGP 391.903 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.17% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 766.907 mn which represents 20.81% of the total trading volume today after 13.389million shares were exchanged capturing 1.32% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.49% and 24.480 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 2.21% to record 5.461 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 2.13% to record 7.827 points.
