Private sector loans grow by 18.6%, recording EGP 1.76 tn by October 2023 End

The monthly statistical bulletin of the Central Bank of Egypt revealed that total loans growth of the private business sector in local and foreign currencies increased by 18.57% to record EGP1.757 tn at the end of October 2023, compared to EGP1.482 tn at the end of December 2022, an increase of EGP275.3 bn.
Loans granted to the private sector in foreign currency jumped by 27% to record EGP 381 bn at the end of October 2023, compared to EGP 300 bn at the end of December 2022, an increase of EGP 81 bn.
Total banking sector loans rose by 27.12% to record EGP 5.101 tn at the end of October 2023, compared to EGP 4.013 tn at the end of December 2022.
