Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 12 September 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.2% to record EGP 456.974bn compared to EGP 455.946bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.12% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 310.795 mn which represents 8.63% of the total trading volume today after 5.037 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.55% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase "EGX30" alone turnover amounted EGP 27mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.04% to reach 30.689 points EGX70 decrease by 0.14% to record 7.165 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.26% to record 10.233 points.
