Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 26 September 2024 with increase in the market cap by 1.3% to record EGP 461.057bn compared to EGP 455.167bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.26% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 345.223mn which represents 7.50% of the total trading volume today after 8.267 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.81% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.08% to reach 31.475 points EGX70 increase by 0.07% to record 7.505 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.13% to record 10.680 points.
