Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 15 October 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.5% to record EGP 445.385bn compared to EGP 447.460bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.20% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 475.992 which represents 10.24% of the total trading volume today after 7.243 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.99% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.03% to reach 30.620 points EGX70 increase by 3.04% to record 7.569 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 2.52% to record 10.713 points.
