Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 24 October 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.3% to record EGP 445.837bn compared to EGP 444.404bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.27% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 254.969 which represents 6.10% of the total trading volume today after 5.267 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.56% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.46% to reach 30.627 points EGX70 increase by 0.42% to record 7.905 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.38% to record 11.110 points.
