«Suez Canal Bank», «ADIB-Egypt» and «Housing & Development Bank» fastest-growing listed banks on the Egyptian Exchange in asset growth during 2025
Suez Canal Bank tops the list, while «ADIB-Egypt» follows

The «First Bank» list of the fastest-growing banks in terms of asset growth during 2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank ranked first, recording a growth rate of 49.9%, after its asset portfolio reached approximately EGP 270.12 bn at the end of 2025, compared to EGP 180.19 bn at the end of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» secured second place, posting a growth rate of 33% during the past year, as its asset portfolio reached around EGP 344.15 bn by the end of 2025, compared to EGP 258.84 bn at the end of 2024.
Housing & Development Bank ranked third, with its asset portfolio increasing by approximately 28.1% during 2025, reaching EGP 229.80 bn by the end of December 2025, compared to EGP 179.46 bn at the end of 2024.
The list, which included 11 banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange out of 12 banks for which the necessary financial data were available, showed that all of them achieved positive growth rates in their total asset portfolios during 2025.
The list also highlighted the dominance of private-sector banks, which secured 4 positions among the top 5 fastest-growing listed banks in terms of asset growth: Suez Canal Bank, «ADIB-Egypt», «CIB», and «Crédit Agricole».
Public-sector banks, on the other hand, captured only one seat among the top five, with Housing & Development Bank ranking third.
Regarding foreign banking groups operating in Egypt, they secured two positions among the top 5 fastest-growing listed banks in asset growth, represented by «ADIB-Egypt» and «Crédit Agricole».
In contrast, Islamic banks captured a single seat among the top five, with «ADIB-Egypt» ranking second.
It is worth noting that all values and growth rates mentioned in the above analysis are based on the standalone financial statements announced by each bank as of the end of 2025.
