EGP index losses 0.405 points over a week recording 53.564 on Thursday

The Egyptian pound index declined 0.405 points against the major currencies over the week where it fell to 53.564 compared to 53.969 points a week earlier.

The Egyptian pound index fell against 4 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.

It fell against, the, Chinese yuan ,Euro ,Pound Sterling , and Japanese Yen, it rose against Saudi riyal and settled against the UAE Dirham, US dollar.

The average selling rate of the US dollar in Egypt settled at EGP30.93 and EGP 30.83 for buying at the week's trading.

The average selling rate of the Euro in Egypt rose from EGP 32.68 to EGP 32.78 over the week's trading, while the average buying rate rose from EGP 32.58 to EGP 32.67.

The average selling rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt fell from EGP 8.24 at the end of last Wednesday trading to EGP 8.23 on Thursday, while the buying price settled at EGP 8.21.

The average selling rate of the UAE dirham in Egypt settled at EGP 8.42 at the end of the day's trading, while buying price settled at EGP 8.39.

The average rate of the Chinese Yuan in Egypt rose from EGP 4.44 to EGP 4.48, while the buying rate rose from EGP 4.42 to EGP 4.47

The average rate of the Pound Sterling in Egypt rose from EGP 36.77 to EGP 37.29 in today's dealings, while the average buying price rose from EGP 36.64 to EGP 37.17.

The average rate of the Japanese yen in Egypt rose from EGP 22.69 to EGP 23.36, while the buying rate increased from EGP 22.61 to EGP 23.28.
