Alaa Farouk, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Agricultural Bank, met with Major General Ashraf Attia, the Governor of Aswan, to discuss ways of collaboration in providing support to the most needy families in villages and centers of Aswan.

This is part of the national initiative “Hand in Hand,” launched by Agricultural Bank of Egypt to support the most vulnerable families across the Republic’s governorates.

The meeting aims to implement the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, emphasizing the need for concerted efforts to improve the quality of citizens’ lives, achieve comprehensive and sustainable development, and provide support and care to priority families to enhance their living standards.

During the meeting, Alaa Farouk handed over food purchase vouchers to Major General Ashraf Attia, which will be distributed to thousands of the most needy families in the villages and centers of the governorate.

This distribution is coordinated between the Egyptian Agricultural Bank, the executive bodies in the governorate, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and the Members of Parliament in Aswan.

The meeting was attended by Sami Abdel Sadek, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Agricultural Bank, along with other leaders and officials of the bank. Alaa Farouk reiterated the bank’s commitment to continue its efforts in implementing the national initiative across all governorates, including Aswan, to support people throughout Egypt.

He emphasized that this commitment aligns with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to extend social protection to priority groups and unify efforts to address poverty and provide real and sustainable development for the most vulnerable groups.

In addition to the initiative’s role in extending social protection, it aims to provide assistance to alleviate the burden on a large number of families, ensuring a decent life amid the economic challenges imposed by current events.

Farouk highlighted the bank’s keen interest in Aswan, whether through implementing initiatives and financing programs to improve citizens’ standards of living and achieve agricultural and rural development in the governorate or by supporting the most needy families in villages for a dignified life.

Major General Ashraf Attia expressed appreciation for the national role of  Agricultural Bank in supporting state efforts through innovative ideas and visions. He commended the bank’s management for implementing various pioneering initiatives to develop rural villages, increase the income of the most needy families through small-scale projects, in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives.
