The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 31 July 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.88% to record EGP 452.483 bn compared to EGP 448.558 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.50% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 518.010mn which represents 12.22% of the total trading volume today after 8.452 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.71% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.17%, to record 29386.84 points EGX70 increased by 0.26% to record 6.864 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.43% to record 9779.46 points.
