Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 22 September 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.8% to record EGP 454.562bn compared to EGP 458.140bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.57% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 376.203mn which represents 10.15% of the total trading volume today after 6.091 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.81% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.33% to reach 31.161 points EGX70 increase by 1.89% to record 7.234 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.63% to record 10.335 points.
