HD Bank leads listed banks' growth on First Bank lists in 2022

HD Bank topped First Bank list of the fastest growing listed banks in asset portfolio during 2022, as its portfolio jumped by 35.86%, reaching EGP103.6 bn at the end of last year, compared to EGP76.3 bn at the end of 2021, an increase of EGP 27.35 bn.

The bank also occupied the first place in First Bank list of listed banks with the fastest growth in deposit portfolio during the past year, as its deposit portfolio increased by 42.28%, to record EGP89.49 bn at the end of 2022, compared to EGP62.9 bn at the end of 2021, an increase of EGP26.59 bn.

 Also ranked first on First Bank list of the fastest growing listed banks in corporate loans, after its financing for corporate sector increased by 56.01%, recording EGP16.97 bn at the end of 2022, compared to EGP10.88 bn at the end of 2021, an increase of EGP6.09 bn

And its strong performance continued, to  win first place on First Bank list of the fastest growing listed banks in individual deposit portfolio during the past year, with a growth rate of 21.36%, as its portfolio jumped to EGP27.2 bn by the end of 2022, compared to EGP22.4 bn by the end of 2021.

The bank came in second place on First Bank list of the fastest growing in total loans portfolio during 2022, after its financing portfolio jumped by 41.68%, to reach EGP38.16 bn at the end of 2022, compared to EGP 26.94 bn at the end of 2021, an increase of EGP11.23 bn.

Moreover, occupied second place on First Bank list of the fastest growing in syndicated loans during 2022, as it  increased to EGP 2.11 bn by the end of 2022, compared to EGP 1.29 bn by the end of 2021, achieving a growth rate of 63.66%, an increase of EGP821.02 mn.

It also ranked second on the “First Bank” list, the fastest growing in institutional deposits, as its portfolio jumped by 53.88%, to record 62.3 billion pounds at the end of 2022, compared to 40.5 billion at the end of December 2021, an increase of 21.8 billion pounds.

The bank's market share in the asset market jumped to 0.91% of total assets of the banking sector by the end of 2022, compared to 0.88% by the end of 2021.

Its share in the deposit market also increased to 1.04% of total banking sector deposits by the end of 2022, compared to 0.97% by the end of 2021.

The bank also succeeded in increasing its share in the loan market to 0.95% of the total banking sector loans by the end of 2022, compared to 0.89% by the end of 2021.
