Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 10 October 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.9% to record EGP 447.139bn compared to EGP 451.346bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.18% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 436.945 which represents 8.16% of the total trading volume today after 6.921 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.94% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.33% to reach 31.332 points EGX70 decrease by 0.47% to record 7.586 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.55% to record 10.815 points.
